After network submission, the network operations center (NOC) team reviews the request and approves, rejects, or revokes it. A decision often arrives by email within 24–48 hours, though that interval is not guaranteed.

Review process

The NOC team follows three steps to reach a decision.
1

Receive the request

The team receives the request and adds it to the review queue. The network status in the Customer Portal shows Pending.
2

Verify the submission

The team checks the network prefix in Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) notation, autonomous system (AS) number validity, and Letter of Authorization (LOA) document, verifying that all information matches the submission.
3

Make a decision

Approval, rejection, and revocation each trigger an email notification. The portal status changes according to the outcome:
  • Approved — portal status changes to Inactive: need info, which unlocks network configuration.
  • Rejected — portal status changes to Rejected.
  • Revoked — portal status resets to Pending. The recorded AS number and prefixes are removed, and the NOC adds a comment explaining the reason.

Email notifications

An approval email includes the following details:
  • Confirmation of approval.
  • Approved AS number.
  • Approved network (CIDR).
  • Instructions for the next steps.
A rejection email lists what to correct. Update the CIDR, AS number, or LOA as instructed, then submit the network again. A revocation email notifies you that the submission has been reset to Pending status. The recorded AS number and prefixes are removed. Review the NOC comment in the email, correct the submission, and resubmit the network.

Waiting for a decision

While waiting for a decision:
  • Watch for an approval, rejection, or revocation notification by email, including the spam folder.
  • Prepare the Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE) endpoint IP of the local router.
When a decision arrives, follow the steps for your outcome:
  • Approved — continue with network configuration to apply the protection settings.
  • Rejected — review the rejection email, update the CIDR, AS number, or LOA as instructed, and resubmit the network.
  • Revoked — review the NOC comment in the revocation email, correct the submission, and resubmit the network.
